The 2094 Ceiling Lamp is a wonderful modern reinterpretation of the chandelier. Designed in 1958 by Gino Sarfatti for the Italian lighting specialists, Flos, this is a beautifully designed, contemporary ceiling lamp whose design has stood the test of time. Five layers of lights are placed along a central cylinder, attached by slim metal rods of varying lengths. The bulbs are left bare, which gives a bright and twinkly effect when they're illuminated, and the wires that power each bulb sweep elegantly from the centre adding soft, curved lines to the rigid metal structure. The bulbs are placed at varying lenghts from the centre so as to make an overall spherical formation that echoes the traditional shape of a mid-century chandelier.
The 2094 chandelier is available in two sizes, holding either 30 or 50 bulbs - these incandescent bulbs emit indirect light that gives a warm glow to the interior. Made in brass and steel, the ceiling lamp can be finished in a high-shine chrome or brass. Attached to the ceiling by means of a ceiling rose, the chandelier hangs from a suspension cable that brings the overall height of the lamp to 2.43 meters. The chandelier itself measures 71 cm by 89 cm.
