The Aim Ceiling Light is a minimal and flexible lighting solution designed by R & E Bouroullec in 2013 for the Italian lighting company, Flos. The large lamp is suspended on a long cord, and is reminiscent of the lighting on film sets and photographic studios. The industrial feel is given a domestic rethink - using beautiful quality materials in a uniform varnished finish. The Aim Ceiling light can be directed at any angle, and the 9 meter long cable means that it can be suspended at any height to suit the space. Aim looks wonderful as an individual piece, but it also look beautiful when several clustered together - there is a multiple ceiling rose with the capacity to connect up to 5 units. The Aim is powered directly from the mains, and the LED light can be dimmed with a 'Triac for LED' dimmer that is approved by Flos. The body of the lamp is made in aluminium sheet that is varnished in anodized brown, white or black. The shade is in photo-etched optical polycarbonate, and the internal reflector is made in photo-etched ABS. The body of the lamp measures 21.1 cm by 24.3 cm across.
Suspended light fitting. Body in varnished aluminium sheet, shade in photo-etched optical polycarbonate. Internal reflector in photo-etched ABS. Directionable body. Powered directly from mains. The cable has a useful length of 9 metres and thus the lamp can be suspended 3 metres from the ceiling. Wall plug version and dimmer/switch on cable.
