The stunning flared shape of the Babele Bookshelf is typical of the work by the Italian brand, Fiam. Fiam is well-renowned as a specialist in created curved glass furniture, and the Babele is no exception. Designed by Massimo Morozzi, the slim bookshelf has a column-like structure, with five equal cube-shaped storage units along its length.
The flared base breaks up the symettry and regularity that is found throughout the design, bringing character and interest to its mathematically precise structure. Made entirely in extralight and transparent 10mm-thick glass, the Babele has a light and discrete nature. With an overall height of 204 cm, the bookshelf has a width and depth of 50 cm. Each shelf is 33 cm from the next, making a 33 cm x 50 cm cube which is perfect for storing books, objects d'art or other personal items to create an individual and playful display.
The Babele Bookshelf is a wonderful addition to any room of the house, from the library that may suit having several displayed in a row, or an individual bookshelf in the bedroom, kitchen, living room or office. Also available in different finishes including black-lacquered glass, acid-etched glass, black 95 glass, smoked glass and bronze glass.
