Egyptian Chair
The Egyptian Chair - intended for use as a dining chair - was originally designed in 1949. Design historians have described this piece as a "miraculous mix of ancient Egyptian design principles combined with influences from modern rhythm aerodynamics and fast cars." The Egyptian Chair first made an appearance together with the famous Chieftain Chair at the annual Copenhagen Cabinetmakers Guild Exhibition in 1949. Both of these chairs demonstrated the designer's unique genius and have since generated international interest for Danish design. Finn Juhl was later acknowledged as the Father of the Danish Modern style of design. Available in walnut, teak and oak as well as a huge range of impeccable leathers and high-end fabrics.
