Celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2017, the Ghost Monolithic Chair is an iconic design piece that has stood the test of time. Designed by Cini Boeri for Fiam in 1987, the Ghost Monolithic Chair is a stunning piece that seems to defy gravity, and to contradict the fragility of glass as a material.
The chair is made entirely in glass, and the shape is formed in one single piece that curves and splits to form a minimalist armchair. This incredible design uses 12 mm-thick curved glass to create a clean and contemporary chair that has a striking look and a strong presence in any room. The line that the glass sheet follows rises from the floor, curving and splitting into two, creating two pieces that form the seat and the backrest, then reforming on the other side to fall elegantly back to the ground.
The Ghost Monolithic measures 95 cm across, 68 cm high and 75 cm deep. Available in several finishes, meaning that the design can be tailored to suit each individual room. Choose from Choose from Extralight glass, Extralight back-lacquered glass, Extralight acid-etched glass, Extralight acid-etched back-lacquered glass, black 95 glass, smoked glass and back-silvered glass. This iconic, design classic is perfect in the drawing room, living room, library or bedroom, as well as making a wonderful addition to an office or foyer.
