Description
The beautiful and unusual Hasami Mirror was designed by Paolo Rizzatto for Fiam, the specialist in curved glass furniture. The mirrored surface is broken up into several different pieces, creating a faceted effect, which will result in a surface that reflects and abstracts its surroundings adding an element of surrealism and intrigue.
The Hasami Mirror has two different forms - a circular shape, and a square - both of which are distorted with the faceted surface and with two cuts into their surface, which disturbs their symmetry further. These unique wall-hung pieces are made in 6 mm-thick curved back-silvered glass, and their articulated rear joints - made in stainless steel - allow the mirror to be angled as preferred.
The round Hasami Mirror has a diameter of 96 cm, and is 17 cm deep, whilst the square Hasami measures 90 cm and has a depth of 18 cm. The mirror comes in three finishes - Extralight glass for a cool, clean, ultra-modern look, smoked glass which adds a retro element to the design, or in bronze glass which accentuates the sculptural feel of the piece, bringing warmth and richness to the piece.
