Description
Designed by Fabio Di Bartolomei, the Homo Sapiens Valet is a playful yet sophisticated piece, made by the curved glass specialist, Fiam. Made to follow the silhouette of the human figure, a single sheet of glass rises up, twisting at the base, curving out at the top to create 'shoulders' that act like a hanger. The shoulders curve towards each other and finish in a neck shape that is topped with a black lacquered shape that is designed to hold small objects such as jewellery, a watch or cufflinks.
The Homo Sapiens Valet can be used in a number of ways, the hollow in the shoulders creates a place for items - such as trousers, a tie or a scarf - to be thread through, and the shoulder shape is made to hold a jacket, a shirt or a top.
Made in 12 mm-thick curved glass, the spherical cap base is made in black coated ABS, and the object-holder at the top is finished with matt black lacquer. Measuring 47 cm wide, 129 cm high and 37 cm deep, the valet is a slim and compact piece that would fit comfortably in any sized bedroom. Consider a valet for the guest room as well as the master, as it adds interest and charm as well as light and flexible storage for your guests.
