Description

The Lightpiece Sofa is a modular design that cleverly combines the sofa with a bookcase to create functional yet highly stylish pieces. Designed by Antonio Citterio for Flexform, the Lightpiece is a lighter, fresher take on the Flexform classic, the Groundpiece Sofa. Retaining the same large seat and low backrest, the Lightpiece offers an enameled metal armrest and feet made in transparent methacrylate. Where needed, the slim, open-faced bookcases replace the armrests providing additional storage space. The bookcases are available with an outer frame in steel that can be covered in hide leather in the following colours: Russian red, white, olive, black, dark brown, dark brown extra, grey, sand and tobacco. It is also available in suede in black, dark brown, olive or sand. The interior of the bookcases are coated with epoxy powder in white, pearl beige, cream white, white mat, cream colour, wine red, kaki green, umbra grey, pearl mouse grey, brown grey or black. Also available is a fabric armrest that has no storage, and is made from a wooden frame with polyurethane padding. The legs are crafted from polished PVC, and the sofa can be upholstered in removable fabric or leather covers.
