The Lucy Mirror is a modern masterpiece that blends modern art, contemporary interiors and the finest craftsmanship, resulting in a playful yet elegant piece for the home. Designed by Doriana and Massimiliano Fuksas for Fiam - the Italian manufacturer that is well-known for its mastery in creating curved glass pieces - the Lucy Mirror combines flat and curved mirrored surfaces to create a unique and distinctive design.
An oval-shaped flat mirror, made in 5 mm-thick glass, sits snugly in a curving and undulating mirrored frame. The mountainous frame brings three-dimensionality to the design, and its shape is reminiscent of a splash or a puddle. The liquid nature of the frame contrasts with the flat surface of the mirror, and creates a distorted and abstracted reflection that echoes that in the mirror. The frame is made in 8 mm-thick fused and back-silvered glass, and its mounting panel on the reverse means that the mirror can be hung in various positions. The Lucy Mirror is a stand out piece when hung alone, but also makes a fun and dynamic installation when hung in pairs or groups along a wall.
Measuring 153 cm by 117 cm at its widest points, and the mirror is 10 cm deep. The flat mirror is available in Extralight glass, smoked glass or bronze glass, and the curved glass frame is available in Extralight glass, smoked glass and bronze glass, as well as Extralight back-lacquered glass or Extralight acid-etched back-lacquered glass.
