Designed by Marelli & Moleteni and made in Italy by Porada, the Regent 1 Chest of Drawers is a stunning, modern take on a classic bedroom accessory. Regent 1 has a light, simplistic look that is typical of Scandinavian or mid-century modern designs - the slim, solid wood frame lifts the chest from the ground giving it a spacious, airy feel. The wooden legs extend up the whole length of the piece, protecting the three drawers that sit inside its perimeter. The circular wooden legs taper slightly at the bottom to create the feet, and there are three crossbars that join each of the pieces creating stability whilst aesthetically retaining the clean and simple lines. Each of the three large drawers sits effortlessly on the crossbars, meaning that there is a defined space between each of the solid rectangular shapes. The soft-close drawers can be made in canaletta walnut to match the frame, or for a more sumptuous, tactile finish the drawers can be upholstered in fine leather. This is a stunning piece for a contemporary, light bedroom - also available in the Regent range is a beautiful bedside table.
