Birdham Family Home

by Pascoe Interiors

A restrained, pared-back selection of relaxing neutral tones, and colourful details define this decorative project.

Pascoe Interiors designed and sourced new pieces of bespoke furniture, handmade in Sussex, to work alongside the homeowner's' existing furniture. The living room exhibits a more classic scheme, featuring traditional, handmade sofas, Knoll and Eams chairs, all contrasted with Tom Dixon brass and smoked mirror glass tables. Clare used a selection of heritage colours in the soft furnishings, offset by quirky pieces like the duck-footed lamp with ostrich feather shade and the faux bookshelf wallpaper. The master suite also features thoughtful, deliberate design accents, such as the pheasant curtain fabric, referencing the nearby rural South Downs.

Space for family living was an essential part of the brief, so the interior layout was optimised by installing a corner sofa. Clare worked with a local company to design the sofa to counteract the narrow dimensions of the room. The residence also boasts stunning leisure facilities such as a gym, steam room and pool, complemented by feature palm trees paper as a decorative injection.
