Cottesmore Court

by Justin Van Breda

Dark wooden furnishings paired with lighter materials such as neutral linens and marbles is a key aesthetic contrast in this stunning project by Justin Van Breda.

Located at Cottesmore Court, there is a strong pull between relaxed home-living and more formal interior decorating. The living space is the epitome of this juxtaposition, featuring casual sofas, arranged for the sole purpose of conversation, and the ornate console table, featuring a bold equestrian sculpture.

Playful, bright artwork above a second console table is another example of this dichotomy, and reinforces Van Breda's ability to achieve smart-casual interiors, without losing his strong sense of intelligent design. His work is designed not for the designer, but for the prospective resident.
