Esra

by 1508

A Bosphurus-facing property in the Turkish city of Istanbul, Project Esra mingled local aesthetic with contemporary design. Taking inspiration from the light and water, all core materials were sourced from the area to create a neutral background against which art could be set for a gallery feel. Functional elements such as the kitchen island inset with blue onyx and bespoke niches lend a sculptural feel. The frameless windows and bannister lead the eye to the awe-inspiring view and are complemented by details such as a feature decorative screen, based on an ancient Selcuk pattern.
