Project Description: South Road Polished, sleek contrasted with fur.
Establishing a stunning, modern take on "deco," Hill House Interiors South Road project embodies the opulence of the 1930s.
An open plan living area boasts a huge kitchen-dining space, perfect for entertaining. There is an evident appreciation of luxurious materials and couture furniture, and this can be found in the gorgeous fur throws, that are contrasted with the polished, sleek furniture and grand piano. Also, the attention to detail and tailoring can be seen in the pleated velvet from Zinc used for the bespoke upholstering of the dining chairs.
A family who loves film and cinematography, Hill House Interiors created a cinema room which encapsulates old-fashioned Hollywood glamour. Supersized bespoke studded daybeds and a monochrome photogallery of movie-greats make this luxurious space a feast for the eyes, as well as a relaxing retreat. To avoid the stereotypically masculine approach to a cinema room, the designers decided to subvert common rules, using crystal wall lights, and fine fabrics, concealing unsightly speakers. A contemporary interpretation of old-timey Hollywood design features, surfaces of polished Perla marble, a bevelled mirror and smooth black lacquer glint pleasingly under Swarovski crystal-studded lights.
