Working from Architects plans we wrestled with various lay-outs, always conscious of the island request. Eventually I came upon the idea of using all available alcove and chimney breast depths to push all the larger appliances far enough in to gain the extra space needed for the island.
The long tall wall of cupboards is broken up by the ‘breakfast bar’ recess. The Gaggenau appliances are pushed into what was the fireplace. The fridge and freezer use the alcove in the front room of the three. The other cupboards are of various depths as they work around the supporting piers. Paint colours are Farrow & Ball Skimming Stone and Downpipe. Worktops Caesarstone Organic White. Taps are Dornbracht Elio.
